Method Man, poate cel mai cunoscut membru din Wu Tang Clan, anunta un nou album solo pentru acest an fara a da insa o data exacta pt. acesta.„Crystal Meth” trebuia sa apara in prima faza in 2009 dar in perioada aceea Method a trebuit sa lucreze la un alt proiect (Blackout 2) impreuna cu Redman albumul fiind amanat pt. 2010.
In 2010 nu se aflase nimic nou despre acest album pana in decembrie cand hip hopper-ul a declarat la un concert ca acesta va aparea in martie 2011.Se pare ca albumul a fost din nou amanat dar din mai multe declaratii ale lui doar pana la sfarsitul anului.
„Crystal Meth” se anunta a fi o „intoarcere la radacini” a lui Method Man acesta declarand ca pe langa flow-ul nou, albumul va semana ca sound si lirica cu primele lui albume Tical(1994) si Tical 2000:Judgement Day(1998).

Nneka – Soul is Heavy

A trecut ceva timp de când n-am mai auzit nimic nou de la artista nigeriană Nneka, dar vorba aia „good things come for those who wait”, aşa că Nneka a anunţat lansarea unui LP numit „Soul is Heavy„, care va ieşi pe data de 26 Septembrie. Materialul este scris şi produs impreuna cu DJ Farhot, iar la colaborări sunt nume ca Ms Dynamite (‘Sleep’) şi Black Thought de la The Roots (‘God Knows Why’). Ca un mic preview, deja a lansat clipul piesei „Soul is Heavy„. Aşa cum ne-a obişnuit pe materialele precedente şi de această dată versurile talentatei Nneka sunt încărcate de mesaje socio-politice (“I do it in a sweet way – but I sing to speak the truth.”).
Pentru cei care nu au auzit de Nneka, aceasta este o artistă de naţionalitate jumătate germană, jumătate Igbo nigeriană iar genul abordat de ea este o combinaţie de hip hop, soul şi reggae. Nneka are 3 albume lansate până în prezent: Victim of Truth (2005), No Longer at Ease (2008) şi Concrete Jungle (2010). În România este arhicunoscut hitul său „Heartbeat„, atât varianta originală, cât şi remixul produs de Chase&Status. Ca urmare a faptului că Nneka a cântat în deschidere la concertele Nas&Damian Marley pentru albumul „Distant Relatives„, ea a colaborat şi cu Nas pentru un remix la piesa „Heartbeat„.
Cu o asa voce şi cu versuri pe măsură nu există îndoială că audiţia va fi cât se poate de placută! Enjoy:D
